Why test my water?
|
|
|
Water contamination can have a negative affect on the health of you and your family. The effects may be immediate or long term. A
USGS survey found that 70% of private wells were contaminated. EPA recommends that you test for a minimum of coliform bacteria, nitrate and lead, even
if you have public water.

There are reports that say "we are bombarded on a daily basis with hundreds of chemical pollutants about 86% from
food, 4% from air and 20% from water." Geographical location probably makes a significant difference in the proportions, but the end remains the same.
Historically, the greatest health hazard from public drinking water has been due to microorganisms Chlorination and ozone treatment of water has virtually eliminated this
danger.
"More than 45 million Americans drank water supplied by systems where the unregulated and potentially deadly
contaminant, Cryptosporidium, was found in their raw or treated water." - Natural Resources Defense Council
"Drinking water in the U.S. is among the top four public health risks posed by environmental problems."
- Former EPA Administrator, William K. Reilly
"Residues of 39 pesticides and their degradation products have been detected in the groundwater of thirty four
states." - National Academy of Sciences
In today's society, we need to do what we can to remain healthy. We at Cannon Water recommend having your
drinking water tested by a licensed professional a minimum of once a year. We use top of the line digital water testing equipment, water treatment chemicals and water
treatment equipment. We ensure proper pinpoint accuracy in the dispersion of any chlorinators that need to be applied. We pride ourselves on our thoroughness from
start to finish. Our digital water testers make it easy to calibrate our water treatment equipment for the correct amount of chemicals necessary to rid your water of any
pollutants.
