Each Bowman Flow Meter and Flow Controller can easily be re-ranged in the field or by the factory. If you purchase the optional re-ranging kit, you can quickly, easily
and economically extend the range of your meter. The re-ranging kit consists of three laminar flow elements (LFEā™s) chosen from the wide selection of more than 120 available, along with
instructions, removal and installation tools and pre-loaded software which you can quickly access on the menu screen. Re-ranging takes about 15 minutes depending on your installation.
It is possible to achieve even greater accuracy and precision for custom applications by purchasing a re-ranging kit along with your flow meter or flow controller. If
you are purchasing a 500 ccm Flow Meter and want to work in the top end of the range for the most accuracy, you could purchase a re-ranging kit with a 475 ccm LFE, a 450 CCM LFE and a 425 ccm
LFE. If you are purchasing the same 500 ccm Flow Meter and want to work through the entire range from top to bottom, then you could purchase a re-ranging kit with a 400 ccm LFE, a 300 ccm
LFE and a 200 ccm LFE. You can pick any three additional LFEā™s from the same group and they will be included in your kit along with the necessary software, instructions and tools.
The easiest way to achieve the benefits of re-ranging is to place your kit order at the same time that you place your instrument order. We can load the software and
send the unit to you with all the accessories necessary to make the physical LFE changes in the field. If you should decide to purchase the kit at a later date and want to load the software in
the field, it will be necessary to have a computer that has a 9 pin RS232 Com Port with a Windows XP operating system.
