Not all drinking water testing methods are created equal.
Suburban Water Testing Laboratories, Inc. has been providing analysis of drinking water to individuals and homeowners
since 1963.
Our methods are those approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Outstanding service and
quality have made us a nationally recognized laboratory. We have been listed as a water testing resource by many periodicals such as Reader's Digest, Consumer Reports,
Popular Science, and many, many more.
Here is why so many people have put their trust in us:
Accurate Results
Our Quality Assurance Program is very intensive, and we adhere to very strict procedures in every facet of our
analysis. Our goal is to make sure we're precise and complete in every test, every time!
Our water treatment equipment employs calibration curves, spikes, duplicates, internal audits, blind performance and
other internal Quality Control. All of our drinking water testing analyses are traceable to the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST).
In simple language this means...
We Maintain a high criteria for ongoing calibrations of our water treatment and testing equipment.
We run duplicate treatment tests from different specimens of the same sample.
We run quality checks on specimens with added, measured chemical contaminants to make sure that the results come
out to match what we know we've put in.
And we continue to find ways to do more.
Additionally, we report our findings to the customer in a way that is both relevant and easy-to-understand, no techno
jargon.
Reliability
Our EPA approved water testing methods require laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatographs, Atomic Absorption
Spectrophotometers, Ion Chromatographs, High Pressure Liquid Chromatographs, and more in order to perform analysis of a wide range of contaminants.
Well trained laboratory technicians perform the analyses and verify the results.
In-home water testing equipment, while simple to understand and functional, cannot begin to provide results with a
comparable level of accuracy and reliability.
We don't sell water treatment or testing equipment, so we have nothing to gain by reporting problems in your water.
If your report indicates a water quality problem, our experienced Technical Assistance personnel are available to
provide practical recommendations for correcting any areas of concern regarding your drinking water.
Certain in-home test procedures exist, but accurate and precise water testing is best done in a laboratory.
Microbiology requires culturing of microorganisms. Other tests require the use of harsh chemicals. This can be
dangerous.
We have the proper facility, expertise, and drinking water testing equipment to perform these analyses safely and in a
timely manner.
Why attempt to perform them at home?
