Thousands of chemical metering pumps are built and sold each year. Hundreds of thousands of chemical
metering pumps are in use as an installed base in water and wastewater facilities, DI water systems and cooling
towers. The metering pumps in many are mechanical in nature with dial adjustments for speed (frequency) of
the pump motor and also the ‘stroke†displacement of the pump piston. These adjustments infer a set
flow rate but are not true flow sensing and measurement of the chemicals used in water purification, ph control
of DI Water, and de-scaling chemicals injected into cooling tower make up water.
The CI-2005 Liquid and Chemical Flow Meter, when used on the output of any mechanical metering pump, will provide real flow sensing, metering and
monitoring of these aggressive chemicals in the typical flow ranges from .003 GPH (gallons per hour) to 475 GPH. The CI-2005 will totalize flow as well as provide an alarm relay, a
digital indicating display of flow rate, and analog and digital outputs proportional to the flow rate for chemical feed system data acquisition.
FEATURES of the CI-2005 Liquid and Chemical Flow Meter:
Corroperm product protection from aggressive media
Real time flow sensing in less than 50ms
Flow Totalizer
No moving parts: in-line flow meter
Pump performance analyzer – Streaming RS-232
Field flow rate re-ranging and orifice/laminar flow element substitution
