Finally an accurate solution for low flow monitoring and measurement. The CL-2005 Controller will do much more than meets the eye. This system will keep your chemical pumps pumping at the same rate as the day you installed and calibrated them.

How? The Cl-2005 uses a technology called "Laminar Flow Element" measurement. Using microprocessor based algorithms and extremely precise orifice. This system will accurately and verifiably control the output of your chemical metering pump.

Example: If you want to maintain a flow rate of say 63 ML/Min you would program the desired flow rate into the controller and wire the output back to your pump using 4-20 ma signal. The controller will now monitor the output of the pump and adjust the 4-20 ma signal to maintain a constant output of 63 ML/Min or 1 Gallon per hour.

Why do I need this? All chemical metering pump output profiles change over time or when influenced by external forces like change in pressure, viscosity, worn parts, etc. This can lead to problems when the proper amount of chemical is not being added to the system. Reduced efficiency and added cost due to under or over feeding of chemical and even increased cost due to equipment failures.

Thousands of chemical metering pumps are built and sold each year. Hundreds of thousands of chemical metering pumps are in use as an installed base in water and wastewater facilities, DI water systems and cooling towers. The metering pumps in many are mechanical in nature with dial adjustments for speed (frequency) of the pump motor and also the "stroke" displacement of the pump piston. These adjustments infer a set flow rate but are not true flow sensing and measurement of the chemicals used in water purification, ph control of DI Water, and de-scaling chemicals injected into cooling tower make up water.

Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s CI-2005 and BI-5000 and 6000 series of Liquid and Chemical Flow Meters range from less than 2 cubic centimeters per minute (ccm or milliliters per minute) full scale to more than 30 liters per minute (LPM) with +/-1% full scale accuracy and +/- 0.5% precision included in the accuracy.

The basic instrument packages cover all flow ranges. Each instrument can easily be re-ranged in the field or by the factory to achieve even greater accuracy and precision for custom application (See Re-ranging).

LIQUID AND CHEMICAL FLOW CONTROLLERS

Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s CIC-2005 and BI-7000 series Liquid and Chemical Flow Controllers are robust and precise devices for controlling hard to manage aggressive chemicals with +/-1% full scale accuracy.

The CIC-2005 series has no moving parts and is designed to output both analog and digital signals for PID feedback control of pumps, motors, valves, robotics, actuators etc. The CIC-2005 series ranges of flow control are from 0.03 GPH to 475 GPH, and can be re-ranged in the field or by the factory to 'dial in' even greater accuracy and precision for custom application flow rates (See Re-ranging).

The BI-7000 series is built with a proportional valve and designed to meet the most difficult low flow control applications. Units provide full scale control accuracy of +/-1% under 2 milliliters per minute (mLm or cubic centimeters per minute) with additional standard model ranges to 500 mLm (ccm).
